Guest guest
Hi, Jutta! ******* WARNING ******* I have no medical training whatsoever. After a few less than ideal visits to a couple of physicians when I first began to feel ill, I decided that I better learn all I can about rheumatic diseases on my own. While searching on the Internet, I stumbled upon RA-Support, and I have been here since the spring of 1999. Since February of 2000, there have been over 58,000 messages posted to this group and I have read them all. I'm so happy that a started and maintains this wonderful group. In addition to the many things that I try to learn from the members here, and the various questions posed and histories related really help keep me thinking and exploring, I read whatever else related to rheumatic diseases I can get my hands on and have time for - journals, medical texts, health news, patient guides, lots of medical Web sites. Google is a fantastic tool. I couldn't do what I do without it. And by now I have had a lot of practice using it, too. I also bookmark a lot of useful information so I don't necessarily have to research a question or topic from scratch each time. You've just reminded me that I should back up my bookmarks right now, LOL! So what first started out as an endeavor to be able to better protect and advocate for myself became a mission to share what I'm learning with others. I'll tell you where to go! Guest guest
is 3,7 today and i've been giving him fish oils for the last months. I started with cold liver oil and saw no imrovements for a month and they i switched to ProEFA. I give him two capsules of that and 400mg of Carn-aware. And you are right i do need to wait and let that settle before anything else. I'm just one of those desperate moms that want magic now i guess, but it doesn't work like that, i know. > > Eleveera > I am sure that will respomd but please don't panic into adding > additional supplements until you feel comfortable about what you are trying to do. > You don't say how long you have been using fish oil- nor do you give any > details about what dose you are giving. > I am using the lipo glutathione with my son - but only after several > weeks/months of reading about the research, talking to others on the web and feeling > really comfortable about how this is meant to help my son. > Please post how big your son is and what you are giving - if the dosing is > right then it may just be that you need to wait a few weeks to let him settle. > You don't actually say why you think you are getting the dosing wrong and > sometimes our children need to settle into one thing befiore we approcah their > delicate systems with something else. > I really believe the latest info re chelation etc could help all our > children but it needs to be talked avbout and understood - there still is no magic > pill > Best wishes > Deborah > > >
Guest guest
Elveera, I can imagine most of us still cross our fingers and hope for that 'magic' when we start a new supplement! It is a hard hope to lose... It took me 5-6 months of religious use of fish oils before I noticed a real measurable difference in my depression and anxiety. Even if you don't see the miracle speech right away with ProEFA, be certain it is doing good things inside! Perhaps even preventing problems down the road.
