My name is Jeanette 51 years old and have been married for 33years we have 2 grown up children, who won't like being called children. Also 2 West Highland White Terriers who I adore. > > In the early 90s I got ill when my bile duct kept bloking I had three operations to clear the blokage and the last one they took out my bile duct and replased it with a stent but things were still bad regularly going into hospital due to sickness and pain. Then in Nov 1998 I went yellow and my Dr did blood tests my bilirubin was 2000 and ALT 1300 he sent me straight to hospital they did a biopsy and told me I had AIH. They put me straight on to prednisolone and various other meds. After the panic had setteled they explained what was wrong in a way it was a relief to know it was'nt all in my mind. Since then I have been in hospital a few times. In 2001 after another biopsy they told me I had Cirrhosis. I still take prednisolone but only 5mg daily with my other meds. In last November I had quite a big stroke so please excuse my spelling. I still cant talk properly and I have to use a wheel chair which is not good they say it will be 2 years before I know how much better I will get and I mean to get a lot better. > > Sorry this is so long I do tend to ramble on a bit. Bless you Jeanette HUGS UK > > > > --------------------------------- >
Guest guest
Welcome you have found a special group of people with wonderful hearts and they are full of understanding and a lot of help. I am a 49 year old displace New Yorker living in Oklahoma. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis plus a bunch of other things wrong with me. I am learning to deal with my disabilities and knowing that I will never be 100% again. We can do other things though can't we. I try anyway on my good days. Right now I am in a flare up but loving the warm sunny days we have been having. I have been working in my garden which is a dream for me. I couldn't do anything in it last year and so feel lucky that so far I can work in it some. Again welcome to the group! God bless, Althea
