Guest guest
probably the weather. i have notice when the weather changes and the seasons change is my worse time and winter. and over doing it wouldn't help either. we got to pace our self's. mike dreamer_plus <dreamer_plus@...> wrote:We just went on a trip to SPringfield, IL, to see our capil etc. It involves a LOT of walking---- (lots of stairs, too) and I did not take my scooter. (I guess was hoping my 6 weeks of methotrexate would help?) The first day I did GREAT- was able to do all the walking and stairs - a little slow, but I managed. The 2nd day I started out only ind of OK, but after a couple hours, I declined. It was warm, 68 or so- but heavy rain moved in, too. BY 2 PM I could not walk AT ALL.- not even a little.....Flaring in my left hip (not common for me to flare in my hip) and my left elbow-----and my right ankle. My question is- does the walking like that and maybe overdoing things bring on a flare like that? I seem to notice n days I go to the laundromat, my feet are very bad the next day- on days when I scrub a lot or polish wood etc a lot, my wrists, fingers and thumbs flare. BUT I thought exercise was good?- so why does it hurt me so later? Was it the weather? Or the walking? Or a coincidence, and flares that would have hapened no matter what? Guest guest
Whenever I do any walking, the next day I am not able to walk. In my case, I have a lot of erosion of the bones in my ankles and walking aggravates them. Now I use a scooter for shopping because if I walk around the store, I get home and can¹t even get my groceries put away. There is a difference between getting exercise and overdoing a joint. Try to find out how much you can do without causing a flare. Maybe walking all day was to much stress on your joints, but a few hours wouldn¹t have affected you that way. a > We just went on a trip to SPringfield, IL, to see our capil etc. It involves > a LOT of walking---- (lots of stairs, too) and I did not take my scooter.
