Guest guest
Patti, I've been on Urso this time for about a week and have had diarrhea, low grade fevers, and horrible nausea. Even compazine doesn't help much with the nausea. I tried Urso before, a little over a year ago and quit because of the nausea. I took the Actigall in 1997/98 for about 10 months and I couldn't handle the nausea anymore. It did lower my Alk. Phos. and GGT, but I just can't handle feeling like hurling every day for most of the day. =~~ I'm (STILL) waiting to hear from my hepatologist! Maybe soon. His Medical Assistant explained that only a biopsy would really show if I have more PSC or more AIH since I have an overlap of the two. I still think a CT scan could tell that!! I'll keep you posted and thanks for writing Dianne A.
Guest guest
Dianne, I have been on Phenergan, Compezine, Zofran, and Propulsid for nausea. Zofran is supposed to be among the best, but I had some reactions to it. Phenergan works the best for me out of all of these, but, if you have an active lifestyle, you may want to pick something that won't make you drowsy. I can only take the phenergan when I'm not working, because it knocks me on my butt! Ask your DR. about trying Zofran, it's very expensive, but if you have a good prescription plan, this isn't an issue. Love,
