Good morning group,

I'm trying to locate anyone who has had experience with this... A

youngster, 11 yo female, suffers from an insistant rash on her forhead

that creeps onto her scalp. Her mother has tried various creams and

has been told that it is a food allergy. I am not practicing clinical

and am out of touch with any test that could be done to identify the

allergen...I'allergen...I'<WBR>m thinking elimination diet? The rash is

is little tiny white bumps.

Thanks ahead of time.

If it's hairline/scalp, I'd also suspect shampoo or conditioner or creams. I

learned years ago that I'd get small what bumps (not acne) on my face from

anything with lanolin in it.

I've had many MRT clients learn that the coconut (cocoate, sodium laurel

sulfite, cocamide, etc) are triggers for rashes. Most shampoos and conditioners

contain coconut derivatives. But, it's also in most liquid hand and dish

soaps, so if no bumps on hands, less likely the soap based coconut things. - at

11 y/o, I'd assume she's doing some dishes and getting dish soap on her hands

by now.

Some clients learned it was food coloring or preservatives in soaps,

shampoo, conditioner, lotions, etc.

Personally, I learned 15 years ago that the little bumps on my face (but

they were not white) were caused by alfalfa or clover sprouts. Just an

allergic/food sensitivity reaction.

So, elim diet may help - changing soaps/lotions/shampoo. Or, finally, MRT

testing if none of the former help.

I would ask what they have ruled out? sebboreic dermatitis?

Also - maybe she needs to seek out a dermatologist that has more experience

with skin irritations along these lines.
