Guest guest
thanks for the input, Joy. I've already decided I don't want to use the town pool. I'm going to stick with the gym. When I work out I cover the equipment with a towel and I wear gloves. I don't care how rediculous I look but it seems to be working. At my gym the rule is that everyone is supposed to wipe down their equipment with a solution, but they never do. That's why I do my own thing. I avoided putting my head under if I used the main pool, but only did this for about a month. Apart from already-mentioned potentiality for picking up ‘bugs’, there’s also very real risk of a range of skin infx esp if in a heated pool – I found ‘hot-tub/sauna folliculitis’ on the web. Read some of those you’ll be guaranteed never to go near public anything w/ water in it!!I guess similar goes for gyms, lots of sweat etc... Can’t say I’ve found many to be places I like being! Better doing Tai Chi, or buy simple sand-pack strap on weights to do leg ex’s, or hand-helds, cheap, small, can use them anywhere almost anytime (even reading a book/watching TV!).I can’t say I’ve gone as far as Lee taking sanitising wipes everywhere, but I guess it’s just if we get so much as a ‘common cold’ it’s going to immediately into a chest infx...etc so do have to be pretty aware about contagious bugs – more of a pain to get sick !My email software keeps crashing.. Not sure if these will send.joy Change the world with e-mail. Join the i’m Initiative from Microsoft.
