Thanks for the update a. I am so glad that someone always seems to have

a 'connection' to get us news from our members when we are all thinking and

praying for them! Do you live near her a? I just think its neat how

this RA family supports each other.

Cant wait to hear from you Tess!

Hugs and prayers...

(and Joe) in PA

a,

Thank you so much for the update on Tess. I was so worried when I could not

reach anyone. I knew that sometimes some docs like to keep there patients in

ICU until they go home because they get better care from the nursing staff. I

am glad she is doing well. If you speak to her again, please tell her I am

sending my best wishes and still praying for her!

I hope they are treating her for these....she needs to walk post-op and can't

do that with terrible spasms. I have to tell you, many MDs are even more

phobic about treating pain in the hospital than in outpatients. And don't get

me

started on some of the nurses! If you speak to Tess again, please encourage

her to demand appropriate pain and muscle relaxer treatment to get her up and

moving asap. IV valium is ideal for those spasms in someone with a

restricted diet. aaaaarrrrrgggggghhhhhhhh, a, I get angry just thinking

about her

laying there with spasms. I better go settle down now, heeehee.....thanks

for the update. Cary

They get " better " care because in the ICU the RNs have 2 patients, on the

floor they have 6. :>( Cary

Hello Tess,

Glad you are recovering well. Congrads on new recliner! I am now less than

13 days away from my surgery date. I am getting excited! I go back next week

for vena cava filter insertion and the remainder of my pre-op tests. How are

the liquids going? Have you found a protein supplement that you prefer?

Take care

Toni
