Guest guest
Ha! If I can't inject in places where I have stretch marks, that eliminates my stomach, the recommended site for subcutaneous injections, LOL. My third child weighed 9 lb. 12 oz. when he was born, so do I ever have stretch marks. Although I'm on Enbrel instead of Humira, this was also in my instructions. I don't inject INTO a stretch mark, but they are certainly all around where I inject. I hope that when they make Enbrel pre-mixed and weekly, it won't sting like Humira apparently does. Guest guest
Thanks for all the injection tips! , thanks for the web page....I had been on the website but obviously didn't dig deep enough to find that more detailed info - so I spent more time cruising that web info. Tawny (where in OK? - I am NW of OKC).....the cold pack I will definitely try, as well as leaving the syringe out longer to warm to room temp and I realize now that my " slow " needs to be " much slower " ....thanks for the good pointers. Oh Sue, I can so relate to the stretch marks!! Then we have the varicose veins on the thigh! Injection Day becomes a grand adventure to find a good injection site! Becky, you make a good point about the preservative being the culprit for the stinging and the very reason I had to change from Enbrel...the Enbrel was working well at helping the RA but I consistently developed a migraine type headache within 24 hrs of an injection. Two headaches a week was too much so after my doctors ruled out many other culprits it was decided it was something in the Enbrel base. So, I guess I should be thankful, if the Humira works as well as the Enbrel did for my RA, to have stinging once every other week vs two migraines a week! I hope the discomfort contiues to become less for your injections as well. Everyone thank you.....this is such a great group.
