Dear Owen.

Thanks a lot. You are absolutely right !!

Forwarding and spreading information on Viadeo groups, LinkedIn groups,

or ProZ over the days made me forget to share more info here.

I'm sorry.

About ProZ: " Strangely " , one of my posts (a new topic I created)

mentioning this issue triggered an alarm and I had to wait for my post

to be vetted by the staff; it's exactly what was explained to me by the

said staff later. :-D

If you need further detailed information, you can go to the IAPTI/AIPTI

No , absolutely not, my comment " penny wise, pound foolish " was

meant to be applied to the UK Ministry of Justice's way of economising -

I wasn't imagining you trying to make savings on the cost of electrons!

Dear All,

I might be wrong but I do believe that I read at some point that ALS has

won awards, all sorts of awards. The information might still be on their

website.

I remember not being able to afford to work for them or their end clients

such as HSBC (the world's richest bank).

I wondered why no one had contacted the award organisations to have those

awards removed.

Perhaps, like me, no one had time.

Here in the Paris region, I had to refuse a Sunday morning request to

interpret at the court of Bobigny (they needed an hour of Italian) because

it takes half a day to get there and half a day to get back. The hourly

rate is about 17 euros and paid after a year and a lot of bureaucracy.

We are in a high risk profession.

My very expensive UK based debt collector has not been able to get any of

the substantial amounts of monies owed to me. One agency owner threatened

to sue me for one million euros! And threatened to sue the debt collector

as well.

Strange insofar as I have a record of the compliments sent to me by the

Project Manager concerned.

I share a lot of projects meaning I have my colleagues to pay and they are

desperately in need. I am very concerned about this so I am hoping to soon

have access to a good factoring company.

We also need insurance against so many things in this profession.

For those who do not know (and that is most of you),I have been under death

threats since September last year (all linked to my job).

I cannot go into details while the Police do their job but it is a very

nasty story.

My health has suffered in consequence as is to be expected.

So yes, we are in a high risk profession.

Best wishes,

*

Dear All,

As Augustine is saying we are in a high risk profession, her true name

- Augustin and she has not paid me 6 invoices since 2008 despite her

written promises to pay for them. Especially as one her cheque bounced back she

said she was going to pay as if I send it to her cheque as she was forbidden to

have a cheque book.

I helped her a lot and it is her way of thanking people, so yes, we are in a

high risk profession even with our colleagues

Also for the moderator why she is able to post under a different name?

I look forward to hear from you

Kind regards

Please explain. When, where has our good, helpful moderator,

Guilliaumet, ever " posted under a different name " ?

I've never seen that though I read most posts.

Nobody has ever said that she does: the reference was to Augustin.

Hi,

Dear Margaret, thank you for drawing my attention to a post that I

missed (and for standing up for me in such a kind way ;-) )

My answer to Christian Merlot will be the following :

The " moderator " :

a) has a name. As I am a very unpretentious girl, you are allowed to

call me :-)

B) has an address for complaints, which appears at the bottom of each

M_T message. Please use it when you have remarks or comments to make

about the list management; I'll do my best to meet your requests.

c) does not appreciate too much to be shouted at this way, what,

furthermore, is not productive as I may not see it, what did happen in

this case.

d) is not a detective inspector conducting a police investigation on

each member. The moderator is not qualified for that (fortunately) and,

moreover, she has no time for it, as it may happen that she also works.

e) has already a lot of work in managing " bouncing members " (approx

100/week), spams, vicious messages (strangely, for a lot of people

" medical = sex " ), questions from desperate patients, etc.

If I were to follow your reasoning, I should reject any subscription

from a person who is unlucky enough to have the same name or a very

similar name than another or other member(s).

It means that if we already have one " " among our members,

then I must reject all further applications from all " s s "

existing in the world.

Of course, it also means that if we already have one member named

Guilliaumet, I must systematically reject applications from :

Guillaumet

Guilliaume

Guillaume

Guillamet, etc, etc.

I know that everybody is unique, but not at this price.

Last, let me add that Yahoo may have - I should say " really has " -

problems from time to time and that it happens that even messages from

individuals submitted to moderation (e.g. newcomers) reach the list

straightly, escaping to any control.

Thank you for your understanding.

Have a nice day

Guilliaumet (no homonym, no fake name :-D ) - moderator
