Guest guest
Hello Jo Ann, I also have adenomyosis along with a fibroid on the back wall of my uterus 5cm... I was also told from two gyno's that I will probably need a hyst in the near future however, I'm fighting as hard as I can here to avoid one...My periods are very heavy/clotty lasting about 5 days.. I also use progesterone cream , vitex & red clover on day 12 - 26 of my cycle & up until this month they seemed to be helping with my bleeding (I'm just getting over an extremely scary period now) I just don't know what happened this month? I also had very painful ovulation this month for some reason (could be a cyst that developed on top of everything else?) I just want to tell you that I have looked into UAE already because I was misdiagnosed with multiple fibroids already.. At the time of the consult I had a MRI performed & that's when I learned that I only had one fibroid & adeno as well... I was shocked & didn't know what to think like yourself but still knew that I didn't want a hyst... The IR told me that he as performed UAE on about 14 patients already who had adeno & all of them have had excellent results!!!! I even have 4 names & #'s of woman who had the procedure for adeno & they are supposed to call me back with info..Also, he's also done over 100 UAE's on women with fibroids & all of them have been successful!!! I also know of a few Dr's in the US who perform myo's for adeno so that's another avenue however, it's major surgery & there are many risks to consider.... Have you tried anything else? Birth control pills, Lupron, endometrial Ablation? I am going back up to my Dr. on Friday to have an ultrasound, blood work, etc.. I just hope that my uterus hasn't changed in size.. I'm very nervous because I know I'm going to have to make a decision regarding my situation soon.... UAE? Myo? Ablation? I don't really know what to do myself... If you have any other questions please write to me.. Good luck Jo Ann. ps: Also, I do experience pain on my lower left side, back , pressure & constipation, my bladder is fine though .. Adeno usually effects the back wall of the uterus first & that would probably explain the constipation.. My uterus is also about the size of a 10/12 wk.. How large is yours? --- worksp@... wrote: > i was just diagnosed with small fybroid on uterus > and adenomyosis > been in pain for over 6 weeks. drs are recomending a > hysterectomy for the > aden saying that is the cause of the pain. > has anyone with a small fibroid had > pressure on bladder back pain and constipation or is > he right in assuming > most of the pain is from the aden. > thanks > jo-ann > ps anyone who has had a hyst please let me know your > experience. > im scared.but cant stand the pain anymore > __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Jo-Ann, Dr. Worthington-Kirsch is in your area. He is on vacation now, but will be back next week. Please forgive me, but I do not have his number, try www.scvir.org to locate him; or hop on over to emboegroups he frequents answering questions on that list. Good luck. Hope this helps. A Meo, R.N. Guest guest
Did anybody else get this email? I think it's a scam like the last one. Just wondering if anybody else received the same thing. Mari............ Good day, I am . I saw your contact on www.eatright.org. Anyway, I am an English speaking man from Cotonou . I will be coming over to the US,Jupiter, FL precisely, from 16th of March to 19th of April with my wife. She speaks English as well. While we will be in the US, we will want to learn eating healthy, keeping fit, and staying well and ways to stay fit and healthy and also weight control, we were told that a dietetics professional can help us find our way through health and nutrition claims and design a personalized nutrition program. I will want to know if you can provide your services between these dates. Do you offer Individual Counseling? Please let me know. I will also appreciate if I can get a price quotation ie ( individual counseling ), as we want to make advance payments before our visit so we can be rest assured as my wife will be doing a lot of shopping and sightseeing as this is her first visit to the US. An early response will be appreciated. Hope to hear from you soon. -- Mari Gross-Lau, MS,RD,LD Registered Dietitian ACSM Health Fitness Instructor One on One Nutrition and Fitness, Inc www.thefitnessdietitian.com
