Back home after Vena Cava filter insertion!

ok today has been a long day!!! I got the rest of my pre-op tests and labs

done today. I also went to see my surgeon for my final weight in and picture.

the good news is in 31 days I have lost 8 lbs and wasnt't even trying!!

Whooo Hooo!!

Then in the afternoon I had my vena cava filter insertion done. It was not

bad at all. I really don't remember much. They gave me something so I don't

remember.

the hospital staff were so nice to me. The trip home of 3 hrs was a bit

hard. I am having terrible back spasms from laying on the bed for the vena

cava

insertion. So I have spent my afternoon on good meds and a heating pad!!

Well now we are 6 days and counting down to surgery!

Hi Toni,

I am so glad that everything went alright for you at the doctor

yesterday. I was kind of worried about vena cava filter insertion, I

will admit it sounds painful, but I'm a big baby anyway.

That is so great that you lost 8 lbs, way to go girl! I am so proud

of you for what your trying to do. Just know you are beautiful no

matter what size you are.
