Your reference is exactly what the paper is about but the author obviously wants to distinguish between various forms of vocal cord deformity including " sulcus vocalis " and " vergeture " which may not be iatrogenic and " encoche cordale " which is iatrogenic and, from a couple of photos, seems to be less extensive. The term seems to be used in French but I cannot find an English one. For the moment I shall change my " notch " to " groove " which I think is better and since I have a couple of days before I have to return the work I will keep looking. Many thanks as always for your help.
