Guest guest
For Cardiac we use the TLC guidelines, 7% saturated, 30% total fat, 300 mg chol, 3-4 gm Na we do not werve caffeine to anyone on our cardiac floors unless the doctor writes an order that it is ok, due to so many tests that are affected by caffeine. No Added Salt is 3-4 gm na a day diets in acute care setting What are you using for: cardiac (low cholesterol, low fat, low sodium-- what levels?) restrict caffeine? no added salt (what level sodium?) We will be going with ADA NCM but I need some definitions for our docs. And thanks to those of you who gave me suggestions for number of subscriptions to the NCM.
