Guest guest
Nice job on your site Cheryl. Just an addition to what you say. Yes, many people carry the genetic markers for celiac, but test negative on blood test (sometimes false negative if total IgA is negative or they weren't consuming gluten prior to testing) and/or biopsy (if damage isn't located in the gut, but in the brain white matter instead or if the biopsy wasn't done properly or read properly). But, many of these clients, like you, can still be gluten intolerant. I've been working with a physician (and his patients) that is well versed in celiac disease (his wife, also a physician has celiac disease) and gluten intolerance (he is gluten intolerant, but not positive for celiac disease) - None of this info is confidential-he shares it on his website. If you want to do more reading, I recommend his website, _www.thefooddoc.com_ (http://www.thefooddoc.com) Jan Patenaude, RD In a message dated 2/27/2008 9:20:36 A.M.
