Es erscheint irrational, bei Patienten im Schock den Intravasalraum auf Kosten

des Interstitiums zu restituieren, dessen angemessenen Füllung in dieser

Situation ebenso wenig als gegeben vorauszusetzen ist.

This is all about fluid deficit in the various compartments.

'Restitute/ion' sounds to me like Denglish. How about 'restore/ation'?

Well, on a Google search, 'restitution' (noun) seems to occur frequently in this

sort of context but not 'restitute' (verb). The Shorter OED gives 'restitute' as

a verb but says it's rare. Both 'restore' and 'restoration' seem to be used in

this context, so I'd go for 'restore', if I were you.
