Guest guest
Hi Dorothy in Canada, I am Canadian as well. I know that in making your own alcohol, it takes vasts amounts of sugar, so I can only imagine the same is true of any alcohol. ________________________________ Â Hi! I've been lurking for a long while. I have hepatitis B, however so far I'm feeling quite fine. I am under the care of a wonderful naturopathic doctor and we are trying to fight this thing. I read the post regarding sugar and I had to leave a comment -- I think it was my naturopath who told me that sugar is just as bad or even worse than alcohol for the liver. I have never been a drinker, but I do like sweets. It's not an easy thing to give up. Best wishes to all of you and your loved ones who are suffering from liver disease. Guest guest
Where in Canada are you?  I am from Manitoba and there is another person who used to be on this site but has moved on who comes from BC  Sweets are hard to give up but just reducing sugar over time helps to change the taste buds.  I use Stevia in  powder and liquid form for whatever thing I am baking or just on cereal. ________________________________ To: livercirrhosissupport Sent: Tuesday, March 6, 2012 5:44:51 PM Subject: Sugar  Hi!
