Guest guest
Welcome Rob. Sorry for the reasons you are here, but glad you found us. Have you asked about retraining at the unemployment office? They have programs that may help. I¹ve heard that they send people to school and pay for it, so maybe calling them will help. If you tell me what state you live in, I can see if anything is on the web. a > My name is Rob and I have had RA for about 3 years......I am > currently taking arava, vioxx and methotrexate.......I am 34 years > old...and a father of 2 with 1 on the way...Are there any other guys > with RA out there?.....I havent met many....RA has limited my life > quite a bit as I am sure has been the case for many of you.....before > Ra I was a restaurant manager and was active and somewnat > athletic...boy has all that changed.....i am currently unemployed due > to a performance based lay-off(actually they could have fired me,it > was a recieving job and it wore me out)......and i am contemplating > disabilitity or some kind of re-training program.....does any one > know anything about that stuff?.......unemployment is not enough > money and my prior work skills are pretty much worthless..... > > > > >
Guest guest
Rob, I would love to say that LDN has helped my spasticity but unfortunately it has not. Nothing helps me with that. I wouldn't trade LDN for the world, I am VERY happy with it. The 4.5 can cause fatigue, they recommend 3.0 for splasticity and no higher. Guest guest
I have a podiatrist that is quite impressed with LDN when I had a case he'd never seen before, in 23 years of practice. I think I wrote about it in my ezboard http://www.larrygc.com/mystory ... if not I'll repeat it... he couldn't believe I had MS with the reaction to levaquin my staph infection had. He even showed me the referral to the hospital for my 48 hour follow up visit. 2 doses of Levaquin and it reversed and retreated. He told me he never saw such a quick response, he said MY immune system was operating at peak efficiency and hasn't had a patient in 23 years that reacted this, especially with the strain I had. He said he fully expected me to need iv antibiotics. When I told him I had MS, he said, and I quote "NO WAY! you CAN'T!" I told him my DX and history and about LDN. He said that IF LDN does what I supposed it does with the immune system, then IT was indeed the factor that did what happened with me. I do a whole lot better on 3.0 than 4.5... or so I think from a 38 day trial and 12 days of it...
