Guest guest
Hello all! I have been quite down and ill since last I spoke but I wanted to make an appearance so you would all know I am still here, participating as often as health will allow! The fibro (even though they say it is not a progressive syndrome) has seemed to go from having 10 " pressure paoints " to having 15 of them. How does that happen? Secondly, although I don't appear to have graduated to a different stage of RSD, now it is affecting my right foot and ankle. It has been only my left hip, leg, foot for just about a year. It may also be why I am unable to type for a long time without my fingers freezing off and why my penmanship becomes absolutely absurd after a few lines (and hands go numb). Its hard for me to tell which is the fibro and which is the RSD. I really hate having so many health issues. I FINALLY got diagnosed with IBS, so I hope to get something for that on Thursday's appointment. To say nothing of the last menstral cycle I had - GOOD GRIEF! I have never even had a cramp and now, it puts me in bed and on the couch for nearly 3 days. As far as your comments on sleep, I don't think I have had a dream since I got hurt in Oct 05. We have tried many things as well as OTC products and nothing seems to really work. I am on Trazadone 150mgs at bedtime now. It helps me to get to sleep initially, but I am awakened several times a night - and no dreams! I am tired. Now, I have what appears to be an ulcer on the right foot. It just appeared about 10 days ago. it went from being about the size of a pea and just a simple red bump to an open sore that won't heal and almost appears to be getting worse. I now have a small bump on the outside of my ankle (near where the other sore is) and 2 more toward the center of my arch. It is excruciating to walk on and it is the foot that carries all the extra weight I can't put on the left due to the damages of RSD there. I did go to the ER to begin with and they gave me some anti - fungal cream and told me to get to my doctor. They had swabbed it and found out later on that it was not fungal at all. They called and told me and said I could still use the cream but it probably wouldn't do much. Woopie for me! As I said, I see my Dr on Thursday so we'll see what happens from here. Thanks for listening. Best wishes to you all Tammy
