He was brought in the pre op area at 6:30 and to surgery at 7:30. they finished up surgery at about 11:45. We got home at 4:30. We didn't sleep the nite before and it was a LONG day!!! Joe had a shoulder dislocation at work and this was a repair to damage that occured at that time. He had a torn labrum that was reattached, a hill sachs lesion, and a ruptured biceps tendon. They reattached that labrum and did a biceps tenodesis, they left the hill sachs lesion alone. The doctor said that he was very pleased with the surgery. Hopefully he will be able to regain the strentgh and function of that arm. Time will tell but the recovery on this takes quite a long time. He has been getting workers comp since the accident but they tried to take it away from him and the hearing date was the day before his last surgery in Feb. When they found out he was having surgery( as if they didn't know before) they stopped the hearing from taking place. We are just hoping and praying that this surgery will give him back the ability to be able to do his job again. ((((Thanks for thinking of us.)))))
