Hi.. have you checked his gut lately? What about viral issues? What

diet is he on and what does he eat and what supplements?

Have you tried something like GABA or Inositol/IP6? Have you tried

when it seems to escalate giving some charcoal as a tool to see if

it may be toxins etc that have flared? Is he taking magnesium and

omega 3's.. they tend to be calming for some.

all that said, we are using oxytocin spray which has been used

for " calming " and OCD type behaviors. YOu might google oxytocin and

autism and see what you come up with. there is a pubmed study on

adult ASD patients with OCD behaviors that you will pull up. It is

RX and may not work for all but is helping my son with some hyper

behaviors post recovery.

Best of luck and please fill us in on more about his protocol etc.

strange stimming behavior, increased desire to play alone as well as

increased inflexibility. Nothing has changed in his diet or

supplements. We are doing TD dmps and have been doing it since

April. He has been doing so well, so this is a little

discouraging. It very well could be due to some changes in his

routine such as an added day at preschool, new friends, new teacher,

etc.

with just about everything he does. He is reaching into the air,

grabbing and then touching various parts of his body. When I ask

him what he is doing, he says something to the effect that he left

his feet, fingers, ears, etc over there and is putting them back

on. He says " Mom, it's something little boys do. " He does it

during downtime and also in response to touch, either touch from a

person or when his body touches something. For instance, he was

playing with a play phone and his sister took it from him. He then

became very upset not because his sister took the phone, but because

he said he needed his finger back and it was on the phone. He also

is really obsessive about it when he goes to bed at night because

the blankets touch his feet and he said they are taking his toes.

I actually have to pretend to glue all his body on, so it won't come

off in order to have him relax. This behavior started a couple of

weeks ago and just happened occasionally. Now, it has become

obsessive and very hard to distract him from it. At times he even

gets mad. He yelled at his feet the other day to stop falling off.

He cycles in and out of repetitive behaviors, but the repetitive

behaviors have become much less frequent until this behavior and it

has always been easy to redirect him until this recent occurrence.

He's also never become mad when trying to redirect him until this

behavior. At least now he can verbalize to a certain extent what

he's doing which is encouraging. He has also never really had

tactile defensiveness.

-.. one more thing that I forgot to ask I realized... you

mention that this started a couple of weeks ago. Is that about when

school started? He is getting any exposure to something at school

that could be triggering issues?

Just an idea....
