The scales are starting to act up again so I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to use them and I will *not* replace them with a new one until I'm under 350 and can buy a cheap one. This one cost me over $220, I wonder if I can sent it in to get repaired? Then I have to run back to the optimatrists to get one pair of Miranda's glasses fixed. Tomorrow I'm supposed to take Emma and Miranda in for their flu shots, and then Meredith to the dermatologist, funny thing is her wart vanished so I don't know if I want to take her in or not just to have him look it over to make sure it is really gone. Emma is sick and puked on me this moring, mostly snot that had drained into her stomach over night. Oh well... I'm sure I'll be better by tomorrow (I hope!). > You shouldn't exercise when that weak and dehydrated, anyway. Oh well.... and not alot better this morning. I woke up this morning at 5am to make a mad dash to the toilet yet again. Dinner had found it's way thru in less then 11 hours. I've still got a bit of gas going on and hope it will subside by the time I have to leave here to get Meredith to her audiologist appointment. a

It took a few weeks to just *get* this appointment, so maybe it would be best to just go. > Emma is sick and puked on me Henry used to do that each and every day until his asthma was diagnosed and treated. >I'm sure I'll be better by tomorrow (I hope!). I know how bad it is to grow up with a hearing loss. > I'll let you know later how it goes. I've been a concerned mommy when it comes to this for years. She is always complaining that she can't hear people on the phone and turns the volume way up. I can't stand the phone like that so I keep it turned down to the lowest setting. She also failed a health department hearing test a couple of years ago, but when they retested at the Dr's office she passed. I guess we *should* find out today for sure. > Is this the new pair you just picked up last week? Wow! She breaks them faster than I did! LOL > LOL.. not only is it the pair she got last week, it will be the second time I've taken this pair in. She keeps losing the plastic nose pads, I almost think she pulled them off (one on friday, one on monday). I'm VERY glad we chose to get 2 pair for her! > What about all that scarring all around the rest of the hand? It all flaked off, like you said was happening? > It just was the strangest thing. She started getting cracks in it like it was dry or something, and it would bleed, then it began to shirnk, and now you can hardly tell anything was there. Very strange! I am thiking I will still keep the appointment even though it will mean getting up early on a day that I'd normally be able to sleep in. > Henry used to do that each and every day until his asthma was diagnosed and treated. > This isn't a normal occurance unless she has a nasty cold. When MIL was getting towards the end she had a couple scripts filled for immodium, and hubby used to take the stuff frequently, but hasn't had to in a long time. Sooo there are at least 2 or 3 boxes/bottles of it around the house. I try not to use it because I figure it is my bodys way of getting rid of nasty stuff that shouldn't be in my system. If I have to run to the bathroom before I leave then I'll grab some, maybe even put some in my purse just in case. a
Guest guest
You can buy two cheap scales and just put one foot on each, adding the numbers together. I learned this from the Diet Power program. > I haven't hopped on the scales, so I have no idea. Guest guest
> a, could you be lactose intolerant? Ann, I don't know? I have never been one to drink alot of milk, but normally I can eat dairy products without a problem. I've had this problem since I was at least 5yrs old. I've never really investigated it, just figured I was odd. I have found people on line that have had the same problem, and most of the time they can never find anything wrong and have had all sorts of testing done. When I mentioned it to my current Dr (when I had it 3-4 times in the same week) she had no clue, thought it may have something to do with the surgery I had in 1990, but when I explained it went back further she had no idea. *normally* I only get this a couple times a year, but then there are years that I have it more, and some when I have it less. I have just given up on trying to figure it out and decided as long as it isn't that often I'll live with it. I start out with the burps, then cramps and diarrhea, sometimes vomiting sometimes not. It just depends. The cramps can be horrible one time and not too bad the next, it just varries. The one thing that does remain constant is the horrible rotten stinkey burps and the diarrhea that starts out a little loose then turns to pure liquid. So... now that you all know more about my digestive track then you wanted to... I guess I'll say nope... I don't think it is lactose intollerance a

Juat make sure she's not trying to read the tester's lips or watching his hand as dials are turned and buttons are pushed and saying she hears sounds even though she can't. That's a trick I used to use until I got caught saying there was sound coming when there wasn't. I *still* hear sounds that aren't there, but that's my tinnitus causing it. > LOL.. not only is it the pair she got last week, it will be the > second time I've taken this pair in. She keeps losing the plastic > nose pads, I hate metal frames like that and always grab a plastic frame. They're getting so hard to find now. >I'm VERY glad we chose to get 2 pair for her! When I was a kid there was no such thing as safety glass or spring arms, and me, being the tomboy I was, would always break my glasses, sometimes once a month. My mom always had a spare pair ready for me, too. As soon as one pair was ready for pick-up she would have my new prescription put into my old frames, just to get ready. The frames were usually only a month or 2 old, anyway. > It just was the strangest thing. But usually the best thing is to just get rid of it, as she's been doing. > What? No bacon and eggs (fried in bacon grease) LOL... You're as bad as my dad! When his chemo ws giving him the runs a few weeks ago he *refused* to give up his coffee and butter. My stepmom said he would take his cup of coffee into the bathroom with him, he had to run so bad. Now that he stopped chemo the runs are finally stopping, but he's still drinking that coffee. > Yep.. got pleanty of this on hand from hubby and MIL. I *almost* took one on Tuesday morning, because I was still having some residue runs from Monady and I had to leave for the doctor, but it finally stopped around 11. >then I'll grab some, maybe > even put some in my purse just in case.
