Guest guest
Hi Charnel, My son turns three September 25th, and was diagnosed with tethered cord by Dr. Wehby. Actually he is having his tethered cord surgery this Friday in which Dr. Wehby is the surgeon. My son has been seen by tons of doctors since birth because he was born with no kidney function and received a kidney transplant in April 2002, but through everyone we have met Dr. Wehby is definitely one of the best doctors around. When you leave her office you actually have a sense of relief because you know that she really does care about your child and you and that she will do her best to make the situation have a positive outcome. I am looking forward for the surgery to come so that hopefully results will soon follow, especially because is not walking yet which is the biggest setback among others. Sincerely, Joni New here I have three children my middle daughter (a 3yrs) has been just diagnosed with tethered cord among a host of other thing and my oldest (Machenzie 5yrs)is currently being tested for it and I am sure she also has it. We live in Oregon outside of Portland and the girls are scheduled to see Dr Wehby for the teathered cord. Is anyone out there in the area and have experience with Dr Wehby. Our pediatrition says she is one of the best in the country. Also does anyone have experience with Dr Wehby and her stance/experience with Chiari malformation. I have it and highly suspect that my daughters also have it from thier symptoms and from looking at a's MRI. Any info would be much appriciated. Guest guest
hello I am very new here. and here to learn all i can about this dz. so that i may help my husband. He has been very ill for ten years come May ... all started off with very little understanding as to what was happening and bad doctor's ... but four years ago he was told he had advance liver dz; and last year he was told he in now in end stage liver. already checked into getting a transplant about two years ago and he is unable to. one he can not have a major surgery, too risky. he has other health issues too. yesterday we where inform that his ammonia level has gone up more. he is taking all the meds that he is able to take that is out there. plus drinking lots of water and eating little to no protein. We both know what is coming. but I am here to learn what happens between now and then as well as what i can do or get the doctor to do to help. We have been told that he can go with in ten minutes to 10 years. some times ten minutes seem to long for him with the pain and illness he feels and others 10 years is what he wants. But we both want to know what is coming and what is happening. and what can be done. thanks thyra
