Guest guest
When I was a little girl in California, I used to enjoy looking at the mountains, because they gave me a place to mentally escape from the things that troubled me. I thought if I could just go up to those beautiful mountains, I would be safe from mean people (I lived in an abusive home for many years.) Later on as a teen, I learned the beautiful Bible passage, " I will lift up mine eyes to the hills whence cometh my salvation. " I saw the movie " The Sound of Music " and whirled around on top of the mountain with . Ah, it was so wonderful. This morning I awoke with that Bible passage in mind, and was rather depressed thinking that living here in southern Indiana, there were no mountains to look at and picture myself whirling around and singing. No, there aren't any mean people abusing me, just mean aches and pains, but just as abusive and troubling. But what a miracle occurred! As I walked out the front door to take the garbage out, I looked across the field to the west of our house, and saw storm clouds gathering--they were dark grey at the bottom, and white at the tops, and shaped exactly like mountains! I think today's going to be a good day after all. Judi
