Hello, AMS. My name is Bobby. I have cirrhosis, and also have cramps in my

fingers, toes, arms legs, etc. I have been recently diagnosed with arthritis and

fibro myalgia. I am already taking morphine for liver capsule pain and an

enlarged spleen, but my limbs are full of pain too. On top of that I have a

tumor from an un-know cause on my 7th left rib, right under my left breast, and

that is the grand daddy of all pain, worse ever, more than getting a tooth

pulled, or stitches, or being stepped on in the crotch by a 2100 lb black Angus

bull named " Junior " , or breaking a bone- you name it this rib tumor is the

worst. I recommend you try to get your doctor to refer you to a good pain

doctor, not a pill pusher, but one whom could send you for the right tests, and

find out why you hurt. Don.t get me wrong, but hepatologists are really good at

hepatology, but they aren't very good at pain medicine, and pain doctors aren't

very good at hepatology. Good luck

-Bobby

I am currently experiencing severe cramps in my fingers, toes, and legs. It's a

daily thing. I take Potassium and eat bananas alot. I am diagnosed with

Cirrhosis of the Liver and was wondering if this is part of having it? I also

have an enlarged spleen, varicies vein in my stomach, an ulcer and a gallstone.

I can't understand why this is happening now. Please help....!

I'm rather new here. Have been a member for a while but haven't posted much. I'm

going to try and be a regular now. Was told this year I have cirrhosis and fatty

liver after 34 years of no damage from the Hep C I have.

Anyways, I had gotten a bottle of quinine pills for my leg cramps at night, but

when I read the precautions, I threw the bottle away. It says it can cause

severe bleeding problems, kidney damage, irregular heart beat and severe allergic

reactions to name just a few. Maybe they ment in higher doses than tonic water,

not sure, but kinda scared me off.

AMS I started out with sciatic nerve cramps, then it moved to other

parts of my body, now I don't know from one day to the next if and

where I will have the crapms. I get them in my hands, go into

contortions I could never get them into and can't get them out of

until they decide to stop themselves. Two weeks ago, I got cramps in

my left leg while waiting for a friend to get some meds at WalMart,

parked, turned up the heat as high as possible and it helped some, but

that leg was not in a good place to get heat. Later, about 20 miles

from home I got it in my right leg, trying to drive with it. Finally

found a place to pull over, we turned the heat up again and right on

it this time, my friend massaged it and it gradually got better. With

my history, I had put an ace bandage in the car so wrapped it up and

made it home where I started having spasms in my right elbow and

between right thumb and index fingers. I have been told that spasms

in different parts of the body are indications of a lack or shortage

of a certain mineral or vitamin. But, my blood work is fine. Taken

frequently due to my other conditions. So, there must be another

reason. I have neuropathy in my feet and hands and wonder if it is

part of that. Sorry I can't help you, but at least you know that

there are others out there with the same problems. Jan
