Guest guest
That's great to have a manager so willing to be supportive and understanding of your RA. I hope it works out for you and the time off is enough for you. Rick Rick [ ] I have some decisions to make....... I spoke with my manager today about the difficulty I am having working. he asked if I thought a bit of a cut in hours would be better for now so I can get a handle on the pain and get some good pain managment going. I can decide between working four days a week or going home early on the days I work normally. I am leaning toward just working four days a week. Having the full days off would let my body rest a bit more than just leaving early. LOL......I guess I just made up my mind. I hope I am doing the right thing. My manager is more than willing to help in any way he can. Hope everyonme is well tonight and as pain free as you can be. Chris
Guest guest
Sounds like you are blessed with a great manager who would allow you try the other option if you wanted to, so your decision need not be a final one. For now, enjoy that day off! Guest guest
Hi I think your manager is super duper, and I would try less hours, instead of going out and starting a new job. At least this manager knows about your condition, and is willing to work with you. The new boss might not be so generous. Take care, Tawny > I spoke with my manager today about the difficulty I am having > working. he asked if I thought a bit of a cut in hours would be > better for now so I can get a handle on the pain and get some good > pain managment going. Guest guest
Your manager sounds great. I just cut my hours down too, (which by the way, my usually insensitive manager was very nice about too). For me the best way to do it was to cut to 32 hours per week, but I work 2 4 hour afternoon shifts. Those days, I don't have to be at work until my joints feel a little better. Leaving early, I think would only help a little. Noreen [ ] I have some decisions to make.......
