Guest guest
My husband has kidney & liver failur both end stage. He is having large amts of fluids removed. A week ago he had 22-1/2 liters removed and now on Fri and Mon another 10 liters each day. The fluids are building up so fast. No medications are working to slow down the fluids. How long can he go with having the fluids removed 2-3 times a week? He is only allowed 48 oz of fluids a day. He has to have 3 teeth pulled and that is the last thing that has to be done to see if he will qualify for a dual transplant. I am worried as his veins are not good at all. I hate to see him go through all this pain and not qualify, he'll have to sit through dialysis the day after having them pulled and its 1 wisdom and 2 molars so he will be in pain. Anyone else have any in put or experince on this large amts of fluids. Oh and his lactulose was cut back to 2 tablespoons 3 times a day as it attacks the potassium levels.
