if you still have high ammonia levels even though you are taking a huge dose of

lactulose daily, you need Xifaxin twice a day. some doctors do not know this as

they are not always up on the latest developments. check out Xifaxin on

wikipedia and bring in the wikipedia info to your doctor. do it now! its the

best single thing you can do for someone with high ammonia levels.

I requested  Xifaxin  from his VA provider so now we are just waiting for an

approval on it. The Dr at the local hospital checked with a pharmacy and was

told it doesn't always work but its worth a try. He high ammonia levels

 4 times this past week.
