Guest guest
If we appoint a same audit agency for all these three certifications, we shall get three certifications with single time audit. The only merit would be some cost savings & time savings But I personally believe that each management system audit should happen in different times so that we shall have more focus on one Subject at a time. While conducting the audit for OHSAS your focus will be on Safety & Health While conducting the audit for 14001 your focus will be on Environment If we mix both, the very purpose of these audits, driving the attention of all employees and the organisation to a specific cause - This gets dilluted. I have not recommended for this integration in our organisation Suresh Integrated Management systems Please add your views. In case of an Integrated Management Systems - 1. Can we get common certificate or individual for ISO14001, ISO9000 or OHSAS 18001? 2. Can we conduct common Audits for above?
Guest guest
Dear Mr. Yusuf, Shall combine all the Management Systems and get one single certification with one single audit. We thought of going for the integration of management systems is mainly because of the following : v The increasing number of management systems. v Problems involved in the parallel implementation of three individual management systems. v Duplication of documentation. v Multiple responsibilities. v Frequent interruptions for audits and follow-up. v Loss of resources and time. Objectives of Integrated Management Systems v Eliminate the waste of separate management “reserves” v Fine-tune your current systems for maximum efficiency and cost-savings v Learn to use overlapping requirements to your advantage v Reduce your audit costs and more importantly the time spent in preparing for them v Gain the flexibility you need to meet future customer demands and regulatory developments Several approaches shall be adopted for integration of management systems Ø Conversion from existing system Ø By simply merging systems Ø System Re-engineering approach All the three methods has its own merits and demerits. Out of the three, System Re-Engineering Approach is the most appropriate one which helps to keep throughout the focus on the overall process, not separate disciplines and therefore our attention shall not get diluted with a particular standard. Guest guest
Dear Mr. Kuldeep, An integrated management system (IMS) is a management system which integrates all components of a business into one coherent system, so as to enable the achievement of its purpose and mission. [Definition given by of the Institute Of Quality Assurance] IMS could not accomplish by just putting each individual system into one book of manual and procedures and moreover it also is not a software package which comprises of quality, environmental and health & safety documentation. IMS shall be accomplished and attained only through the following: Ø Understand and identify the principal business processes. Ø Interrelation of cause and effect relationship between the processes. Ø Product quality & its significance of quality plan. Ø Environmental aspects / impacts of the processes. Ø Health & safety factors involved in the business activity of the processes Ø Social Accountability. Ø Carry out hazard identification, risk analysis & its control methodologies Ø Evaluate legislation and other requirements Ø Including various system components, like administrative etc. Your doubt shall no longer valid and exist. Guest guest
Dear Yusuf, We consulted our certify agent, they expressed u can conduct common audit but the report should mention all three system. But eh external audit will be done separately and u will get 3 different system certificates. We integrate the system for our conveniences.
