good news and bad news

I am wondering if I may be starting to decompensate. I keep bleeding

internally even after they cauterized the open sores in my stomach.

Was supposed to have an edo and colonoscopy today, but didn't receive

the prep goodies and the instructions. So will have to reschedule.

The worst news comes in two parts. The father of my three younger

children was taken to the er on Tues night, kept for a few hours and

sent home with no treatment, had high blood sugar and high blood

pressure and hadn't taken his meds for over 6 months. Probably

because he didn't feel he had the money to pay for them and also

because he let his extra help with the cost of medical care for people

on medicare lapse. He was take there by ambulance because he fell

down and couldn't get up. Today, my son called his sister and said he

thought there dad had had a stroke. They had tried to have him seen

by a doctor today but couldn't get him in until Friday. So, they took

him by car this time and different doctor reached the conclusion he

had had two mild strokes in the past one on each side of his brain but

not too long ago, may have been having when he was in the er the night

before. They admitted him and doing tests to determine the cause.

Our second daughter with the help of her brother and my grandson who

both live with him are taking over communicating with the doctor,

confiscated his car keys and will be handling his finances, but will

still be difficult to get him to take his pills. Prayers are

requested for all three of my children and my grandchildren who are

very upset and of course for my ex husband, he is a very nice man even

if he can be very stubborn and we have remained friends since the

divorce.

The second part I found out about on a facebook chat with a cousin who

had been told that our only living sibling of either of my parents had

fallen down, broken her leg and had a heart attack. We have lost so

many of that generation in the last two years, she and my mother were

the last two left except for the inlaws and one of them went in the

last year.

The good news is that I got moved into my new house on Tuesday because

of some very loving friends and some very nice people I didn't know

before. Anyone in the area capable of moving some boxes and putting

stuff away is very welcome to come and visit. lol I even have a bed

for one until Saturday when my granddaughter is coming from MN to

visit for 10 days. Hoping her grandfather is doing well enough that

she doesn't have to postpone her trip until next year Time to get to

bed, it is 2:38 here, don't know where the time has gone.
