Guest guest
I have a question regarding whole wheat bread vs white bread in renal diets. Comparing the Potassium and Phosphorus I only see a difference of about 20 or so mg. Is that the reason whole wheat is not given on renal diets? Do any of you allow limited amounts of whole wheat? (I mainly work in outpatient cardiac rehab, but a discussion of this came up with the inpatient RD and the FSD.) Thank you, Holly Moler-Krohne RD -------------------------------------------------------------------- myhosting.com - Premium Microsoft® Windows® and Linux web and application hosting - http://link.myhosting.com/myhosting
Guest guest
I was unaware that whole wheat was " not allowed " on a renal diet. We serve it all of the time...it is on our " allowed " list on our hospital's menus.
