Guest guest
Hi CJ, I am so sorry about all the pain. You shouldn't have to work those hours. And especially in the cold. That must be agonizing. Is there some way you could transfer to another dept. that wouldn't be so stressfull? You know where there is stress there is pain. You need to think of your emotional being too. Sometimes the emotions take over so much more than the disease. I know I am there now. But Ihave so many good friends here. It's a good thing. LOL Keep the faith. I am praying for you. Hugs Judith Ann cjkelley112163 <cjkelley112163@...> wrote: Bad day today at work. Then I find out that I am working 6 days in a row in a couple of weeks again. Am going to see if Dr. wants me to reduce my work hours. I work in the meat dept in Walmart and we lift heavy boxes there. I am hoping that I can cut down a little bit. It would take the edge off somewhat if I could. Is it normal to just wish I could stay home and curl up and sleep so I didn't have to deal with hurting so bad? My boss wanted me to stay over a few hours but I just couldn't. I felt bad for refusing but knew I would have trouble tomarrow morning if I did. And I have to work tomarrow as well as Sunday too which will make 6 days in a row. I am trying to get a job in Loss Prevention so Idon't have to lift so much anymore. Dr. called to confirm my appointment for Monday. What if she doesn't believe me about the pain? What do I do? I am afraid of that as well as not being given meds and just basically being brushed off. I'm sick of this pain. I can't live like this anymore and this dr. is my last hope. Sorry to whine and complain. I am not like this. I am just hurting so badly that I feel like the world is caving in on me. Thanks for listening. Guest guest
I'm sorry that you had a bad day at work. I think that is too much to be working like that, in your condition. Please, do check with your doctor about reducing your hours at work. Your doctor should understand what your going through, just be truthful. Just let her know how your feeling, and let her know how much pain your in, good luck Tawny > Bad day today at work. Then I find out that I am working 6 days in a > row in a couple of weeks again. Guest guest
I have not posted in song long that I have forgotten how to post a general message. I need help. I have just been diagnosed with discitis. I have RA for about 6 years mostly untreated since I have only Medicare and I can't afford the medicines, Dies anyone know if RA can lead to an infection in the discs and if there is any relation with degenerative disc disease and connective tissue disease like Scleroderma? Or even with RA? Please write back and remind me how to post this on the site but you are free to pass it on also. HELP. please!
Guest guest
CJ~ In my reply to this...if the doctor does not believe that you are hurting, then email me and I will come there and punch the crap out of him. Any doctor who knows someone with RA should know that there is a lot of pain associated with this disease. So in my opinion, if he doesn't give you anything, let me take a crack at him/her. Jillian in IL p.s. sorry about all the frustration, but it just makes me mad when docotors don't understand. just let them live in your shoes for a day and then they will think twice cjkelley112163 <cjkelley112163@...> wrote: Bad day today at work. Guest guest
I'm so sorry I can't be much help, but Lupus, RA , Scleroderma, MS, Crones are all auto-immune diseases. I know many of us have overlapping symptoms. My mother has Lupus too, but she has Central Nervous System Involvement (Lupus is attacking her brain) and she has many MS symptoms (jerking , slurring words). That isn't help to you I know, but maybe it will lead to discussion . Kelley/Okidoll kuselton@... Guest guest
EF....I don't know if this will help, but I have scleroderma and severe degeneration of my spine. It is at every level, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar. Also have numerous osteophytes. My local docs felt is was unrelated to the scleroderma, but went I went to s Hopkins they said it was very much related as the discs are connective tissue....so if you are dealing with a connective tissue disease then ...there you go.....I can't answer the RA portion of your question but I am sure someone will..hope this helps .....Kathi in OK > I have not posted in song long that I have forgotten how to post a general > message.
