The saga of Rodger goes on!!!

Now this one is good!

Jay was home for lunch and we were talking when the front doorbell

rang...I answered to find a female cop on my front step...

Hmmmm I thought what can she possibly want?

She asked me if I had recently hit a car in the Oakwood Apt

complex...I said no...she said are you sure - your truck was

involved in a hit and run... I said MY TRUCK _ NO WAY

She said well is your last name - I said yes - she said well

the truck was registered to a and it is the same as yours but

hold on I will get the officer over here who has all the paperwork

on it and he will talk with you.

I got Jay and we went out front to await the other officer. She

told Jay he should call his job and tell them that he was going to

be late as neither of us was going anywhere till this was

straightened out.

The other officer finally arrived and we were asked if the truck

sitting in the driveway was ours ...Of course it is. We were asked

if we had ever changed the license plate - I said no that is the

plate that has been on the truck for 8 years now.

They checked the vin # and realised that it wasn't the same truck

but of course, Rodger's truck was registered to our address. So the

questions continued.

to make a long story shorter, Rodger's new live-in had driven his

truck and as she was backing up she had hit another car and rocked

it back and forth - this was witnessed and they took down the

license plate number and called the police.

She left the scene of the accident and it became a HIT AND RUN...

Now as far as we know, Rodger didn't know anything about it.

But it was interesting to start my day that way.
