Guest guest
Thanks for the kind words, a. I am getting some results from the increased Prednisone and I think this flare is definitely easing up. I knew it would but getting through a flare often feels like the hardest work I have ever done, on both a physical and emotional level. I have recently moved into a retirement community and I suspect that not having people around that I knew added to the isolated feelings I was having with this one. Fortunately, the flares are pretty rare at this point.

Guest guest
It is great that you will be around more people and not feel so isolated. I hope you make a lot of new friends. Maybe there is an arthritis support group in your community and there will be people there that will have things in common with you. You can learn a lot of coping tips and pain relief tips from others. You will learn them here too, but it is nice to be able to be with people in your community that are partners in pain. Getting through flares can be very draining, and slipping into depression is easy to do. I just try not to stay down for to long. I miss to much of life when I¹m feeling sorry for myself a > Thanks for the kind words, a. I am getting some results from the > increased Prednisone and I think this flare is definitely easing up. Guest guest
Arsenic also comes from potatoes. They are a underground crop and in order to better facilitate harvest, the are sprayed with arsenic to kill the plants at a more uniformrate....and I am sure that this could be similar with rice. My family has a lot of arsenic problems and I think that is why...except for my husband who worked in a fruit orchard for many years. hope this helps ronni

They're light and bubbly in a sort of styrofoamy way. They sound sort of like shrimp toast. Are they similar, or something else entirely? --- I don't know. Is shrimp toast round and foldy, like a thick potato chip? *too nasty to think about "
