Guest guest
Thanks for the suggestions! guess I'll just have to wait and see what the next step is. A friend here told me probably a mental exam. I haven't been the sharpest knife in the drawer lately, so who knows! I see the oncologist tomorrow, and after 4 weeks on Intron (alpha interferon/chemotherapy) I think it is time to call a halt. I am getting sicker from the interferon instead of feeling better, and this week noticed new tumors growing and more pain from the old ones. I think it was either or a who said that autoiummune diseases could be worsened by this, so now I guess I have been the guinea pig to find out that Dercum's really is autoimmune. Not to mention the fact that it was costing a good chunk of our retirement income to pay for the treatment--$150 a shot plus $120 for the office visit, and with 3 shots a week, that adds up pretty fast. Take care, Judi
