Guest guest Posted October 29, 2006 Report Share Posted October 29, 2006 Dear R.V.Patil, As per European Environment Agency (EEA), BIO DEGRADABLE WASTE means any waste that is capable of undergoing anaerobic or aerobic decomposition, such as food, garden waste, paper, paper boards etc., NON BIODEGRADABLE WASTE means any waste that is incapable of undergoing anaerobic or aerobic decomposition, such as ferrous, non ferrous metals, glass, plastic, miscellaneous non-combustibles etc., As per Municipal Solid Waste (Management & Handling)Rules 1999, BIO DEGRADABLE WASTE means a substance that can be degraded by micro-organism.
