Guest guest
What a journey this has been so far! I went into this with a great deal of information, and still it was more difficult than I expected. I'm doing very well - my surgeon is more than pleased. I don't feel very well but that will come. My surgeon said I am in a rapid weight loss phase and between that and the surgery itself (they had to cut out almost 3 hours worth of adhesions to actually do the duodenal switch bariatric surgery) he is not surprised I'm still pretty puny. While I was in ICU they also thought I might have " rabdomyelitis " - I'm sure I am completely messing up the word. It is a muscle wasting condition that occurs sometimes after surgery, particularly with obese folks. I did not, though. Thank the Lord. My autoimmune conditions seem to be pretty much in remission! I sure hope that continues. I'm sorry I've been so out of touch. My energy level is so low, but I do see little changes in strength and endurance everyday. Sending love, hugs & hope to you all.
