I am one of the major lurkers!! Been reading posts since last

summer. I posted occassionally in the beginning, but haven't in

months. Just wanted to say thanks, and hope your birthday was

great. I responded to the study at Hopkins Arthritis center

last night and I had a response this am saying that the person I

contacted would copy a reply to the research coor. and she would

call regarding my eligibility

I was finally diagnoised with RA, Crystal (or Gouty) arthritis and

osteoarthritis late last fall. I began Humira about the same time as

Tess, in November. It has helped with the fatigue, not sure about

the Ra. I qualified for free Humira in Feb. because I had used all

my prescription drug coverage. (If you have no prescription drug

coverage, call Abbott Labs, talk to your Rheumy, they give it away

and I had paid $1260.00 for it 3X)

At the same time all the swelling and pain began I also developed

diarrhea as well as really bad fatigue. After months of tests, I was

diagnoised with Collagenous Colitis in March because of a positive

biopsy done during a colonoscopy. I'm on Asacol 400mg 2 pills 3X a

day. The diarhea is somewhat better, but I was told not to expect

miracles, that it would take awhile. With the RA also came

hypothyrioidism and an over active para thyroid. Take medication for

those as well, now and they are under control. Sorry for the book
