Guest guest
Kerri- I have a policy that I wrote on clinical competency for sharp debridement. It is fairly conservative but it could get you started. Email me directly (AMCoffman@...) and tell me what word processing program you have so I can send it to you. Guest guest
I work in a LTC setting, and there has been a question about the use of debridement for wound care by therapists. The medical director wants to know how we document a clinician's skills in this area. At this time, we don't have a specific competency for wound debridement. Does anyone have (and be interested in sharing) a protocol or written competency for this procedure? The PA state practice act doesn't specify and while " The Guide " mentions debridement as intervention for wound care, also does not provide specifics. Thanks, in advance, for your assistance.
