Guest guest
Hi, Becky. I am so sorry this is happening to you. I found myself wondering if you have been able to tell your husband about your feelings. I know there is probably too much anger just now but since this miserable disease could well last for many years it seems like maybe you could help each other deal with it. I think my suggestion would be that you wait till there is less heat involved and try to find a time to " fill him in " and listen to his concerns. I suspect it will take many more than one conversation to make you feel better. There is always the possibility of bringing in a professional if you two aren't able to sort it out. I wish you much luck. a

Guest guest
Same thing in New Orleans it was suppose to help if you ride with another driver and you don't want to carry the placard. But here the cops never ask questions and never enforce the law. I was trying to get on with a group called the Quad Squad. They are handicapped guys that are allowed to write tickets but they never called back and I keep calling. So much for the help. Maybe someone can answer this question because the law has no idea. If you are parked at a meter and your time runs out having a handicapped tag they are suppose allow you 2 hrs. before the ticket> Irwin **************Get trade secrets for amazing burgers. Guest guest
I always request an aisle and seat up front Due to the fact that its hard to climb over another passenger or create a scene or wake them up. The ticket agent has often asked, " what's your disability " In person less so, on the phone its impossible and was told to bring my disabled persons ID card. Never knew there was such a thing On May 21, 2008, at 9:14 AM, dwarfism wrote: > Dwarfism List > Messages In This Digest (3 Messages) > > 1a. > focus group From: Beale > 1b. > Re: focus group From: Jennings Family > 2. > Hello New To group From: MR.ROBERT L. Guest guest
In Washington State in addition to your handicapped placard you are issued a credit card sized card to show that the placard is issued to you, in case you are challenged. In theory it was to cut down on the theft of the placards. Only thing is I do not recall any publicity regarding the ID card so I am not sure how effective the card would be without it but I carry mine anyway. Cannot believe that some state in the West has something a sophisticated Eastern state had not already done and in a bigger way! lol Karolyn Re: Digest Number 4012 I always request an aisle and seat up front Due to the fact that its hard to climb over another passenger or create a scene or wake them up. Guest guest
Karolyn, In NJ we do have " Disabled Person Identification Card " , but they are associated with the placard/license plate for cars (as they probably are in most states). That does limit availability and usage. Other than Illinois, I cannot find a state that issues a non-driving related card. And unfortunately any system invented sadly will probably be just as abused as the parking permits are. > > In Washington State in addition to your handicapped placard you are issued a credit card sized card to show that the placard is issued to you, in case you are challenged.
