Combining ATC's with Therapy clinic

I have recently been asked to research combining an already extensive

athletic training community service program that is funded by the hospital,

with the therapy clinic. The " Sports Med " program has been in existence as

it is now for about 8 years and employees 10 full time trainers. Does anyone

have any experience in this area? How do the trainers financially justify

their presence? Are athlete injuries tracked once a referral goes to an MD?

Are the trainers doing rehab at the schools? Do you have a medical director?

Any input would be greatly appreciated including productivity standards for

the trainers and the business relationship (written v. verbal) with the
