Guest guest
Ed: You can bet that the orthopedists care first of all about their surgical outcomes. They do not want to see their patients at 6 weeks and discover they have not made the expected progress. That loss of time post-op cannot easily be corrected. If the HHAs were getting great results for them, all patients would be referred accordingly. If it were Attila the Hun that did the best rehab, that would be the place to go, in the surgeons' eyes. Guest guest
Geri: Home health services are not cheaper than outpatient services for the most part. Home services cannot be as " productive " and " efficient " as services in a clinical setting. (I am not referring to hospital OP charges. Other costs are factored into different provider costs.)
