Tawny, I'm so sorry that the Humira is not working and you're in so

much pain. How long have you been on it? Sometimes it takes several

months to kick in. Hopefully your rheumy will have some more ideas. I'm

so lucky that Enbrel is working for me. I finally felt well enough on

Monday to inject it.

You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sue

Hi Sue, I have been on the Humira for about 6 months, so that should

be enough time to see some kind of change, and I'm actually worse

then before I started it. I'm hoping the rheumy can think of

something that might help.

I'm glad to hear the Enbrel is working for you, and I'm glad that you

started back on it. I will keep you in my prayers, hugs Tawny

Tawny,

It is so difficult sometimes to just get up and move. I know what

you mean and am thinking of you.

The weather is killing us here in Oklahoma. I wanted spring to be

here so bad but this year it has been a killer. I think that that

is half the problem for both of us.

My back is getting better - mending but you can still see where it

is offset - about 1/2 inch today from the 1-2 inches it looked

like. I looked so lopsided.

We had 1/2 " hail for about 15 minutes. It looked so dark out. I

heard OKC got hit pretty hard and am hoping you are okay.

You might talk to Dr Carson about MTX and see if it would help you.

It is the only thing I think ever helped me. I don't think the

Remicade is doing anything anymore but I do feel less achey after

taking the MTX. It took about 4 months before I saw any result.

I am praying for you.

God bless,

Althea

Stay away from potatoes and white bread, soda, beer. I definitely notice those

being a problem. Do you think you are in pain because of the dampness and/or

maybe air conditioning?

[ ] Sorry, haven't been keeping up with the posts,

Hi everyone, I have not been keeping up with the posts, but please

know that I'm here, but just can't keep up right now. I am in so

much pain, that I just can't take much more. The pain meds are not

helping, and the weekly Humira isn't helping either. I'm not able to

sleep, I am just here it seems right now. All I am seeing is the

swollen lymph glands. I went to give myself the Humira injection

today, and just couldn't do it.

I have an appointment this month at the rheumy, I will talk to him

about any other meds that he can give me, I am going off the Humira.

I guess some people it works great on, but not me. I contacted a RA

study today here in OKC, but they want people who is on MTX, so that

leaves me out. I just really don't know what to do at this point,

what is next I ask myself.

I am also trying to eat healthier, I have cut out the dairy, and most

meats. I still eat chicken, but have cut the red meat out. If

anyone has any information to share about a healthy diet for RA,

please let me know. I'm willing to try anything right now. I have

started on a lot of vitamins, so I hope they kick in soon.

I hope that everyone is getting some pain free days in, and welcome

to all the newbies, big hugs and prayers Tawny

Althea, I know we all go through such a rough time, it just gets

really unbearable sometimes. This weather is not real good either, I

know. We had some pretty rough storms, but it wasn't too bad.

I can't go on MTX right now, because I can't afford the blood work.

I will talk to him, and see what his advise is. You take care T

Hi Becky, Thanks for the advice, I have pretty much gave up the

potatoes, and I don't eat bread, or beer, not much soda either. I am

trying to eat more veggies and fruits.

I don't really think it's ther air conditioning, it's been going on

too long, before the air. I am thinking that the damage in my neck

is causing most of my problem. Hope you have pain free days, T

Hi Cary,

The mammogram is scheduled for June 11th, so not far to go. It's

been a long wait though, I will be glad to get some answers. Then I

still have to contact the OU Clinic again for an appointment for

July, when they told me to come back.

It's just so depressing, and then when you feel so bad, and no one

understands you anymore, it gets frustrating. Thanks for taking the

time to post, I appreciate you, hugs Tawny

I know how that goes, Tawny. I'm glad you have a place to come-this

list-where you know we care and worry about you and we understand what you are

feeling

and going through. I hope you can hang in until things get better. Do you

think your doc would discount your blood work so you could take your meds?

Hi Cary, Yes, I am so glad that I can come here to my wonderful

friends, feel bad, sad, and feel sorry for myself. It does help to

have someone that knows what I go through, thanks sweety. I'm

hanging in here the best that I can, which is OK. I don't really

think the doc would help me out on the blood work, but that would be

great. I had my blood pressure checked today, my pulse rate was 105,

that is pretty extreme, I don't know if it might be the Prednisone,

or not. You have a nice evening, hugs Tawny
