Hi

Just a comment here-we have been seeing many more bleeds due to what they

call malignant hypertension in younger people lately, and these bleeds cause

significant disability. Our clin spec who has worked in neuro nursing for 22

years said she has never seen so many younger people with the hypertension and

bleed combo as the last year or so. We are talking people in 20s, 30s and 40s

who suffer a bleed and permanent brain damage. Hypertension is sure nothing to

mess with. Cary

She isn't sure, . But she is seriously considering doing an official

study. The only obvious thing is that drug use can cause it. But that is not

the most common thing. Cary

Agreed, Cary. Hypertension is serious.

If she has one, what is your coworker's theory to explain the increase

in cases of malignant hypertension in young people?
