Guest guest
Kathy: I take 1000mg of neurontin for peripheal neuropathy, and it really works for me....the getting used to it was pretty awful, but once the body adjusts it works well. I think it is one of those drugs that either works for you or does'nt, and it doesnt have alot of the more serious side effects...there was that big deal about it being prescribed for alot of off label stuff and one of the news shows did a big thing on it......I can honestly say I was dealing with a burning, numb, tingling awful senseation in my hands and feet and it has helped considerably, but as a pain reliever I don't think it works for that....also I take the larger dose at night as it does cause drowsiness...hope you get to feeling better.....when you do maybe we can make a storm chasing date....LOL ;.}........Kathi in OK PS Somewhere ( i can't remember if it was something posted by a or an article about neurontin and topomax controlling nerve type pain better than the opiods -- In , kringlemom@a... wrote: > today i got a call from my internist office. they said the emg report shows > nerve damage in my legs and they want me on neurontin 100 mgs twice a day. i > asked about the physical therapy and they will see if the dr will write the > script for me. i have also called my rheumi's office for them to do some research > for me. i was on neurontin before. don't remember when, how much or why i > stopped. so hopefully they can find out for me. kathy in il > > >
