Dearest ...thank you...this info was most helpful. Things the first

few days in ICU were really fuzzy, and some still are. But I know they

watch bariatric patients very carefully for this, and have strict

protocol if signs are present. I can't tell you what labs tests were

initially off, but I do remember the horrible pain in the muscles around

my right hip and right lower back. I know I had 4 fluid IV's besides

several other smaller medication IV's going at all times. I know I went

up 30 pounds in 3 days from the fluids. About the 4th day the doctor's

faces were more relaxed and someone told me my labs were coming back to

normal. The hip/back pain hung around for about 10 days.

I am so grateful it turned out I did not have this. My friend Kate was

in ICU 3 weeks until they got this turned around.

She was blessed not to have any severe kidney complications.

Love & hugs...

Tess
