I am trying to find information on what my doctors thought I had after

my bariatric surgery. I was pretty loopy, but the name is something

like " rabdomyalasis " or " rabdomyelitis " . It is a " muscle wasting "

disease that happens more frequently with obese folks after lying on a

hard surgical table for quite a while. Another lady I know did have it,

but I cannot find anything on the internet. My spelling must be pretty

far off.

Thanks for any help.

Love & hugs...

Rhabdomyolysis is a very scary syndrome that can cause kidney failure and

death. It is kind of like your tiny muscle fibers are all ripping off and they

go through your kidney filters and clog them up. It can be caused by a lot of

things, including antihyperlipidemia drugs, and running marathons.
