Guest guest
Hi Dana, Thank you for helping me sort this all out! I did have it wrong about the GSE causing viral problems instead of bacterial ones, when given without yeast present. I guess the fact that I don't know anything about either one would be my problem! Would I find about all of these differences in McCandles book? I have been meaning to order it to check out, but the whole things about having to buy it from them before you can join the list kind of put me off. Anyway, thanks for your web site and all the great information you provide. You are a great help! nne
Guest guest
Hi, Kathy I am glad to hear from you. I will write a longer one when I get home from work. Gratefully, as I do sponsored adverting on the web, my fingers rarely hurt, only get puffy and stiff, however, I find that if I accidentally hit my finger, toe, knee, etc, in a way that normally would have produced " ouch " before, that has a resounding # & & @!**^^%. Plus, the pain radiates and throbs from a simple tap. More later, I am interested in a diet, I am single and eat all over the place. :) Dana in Lake Forest, CA [ ] Dana Hi, I'm Kath - have missed a few posts because I was gone but saw one of yours and thought I'd best say hi. I'm new here too - my RA factor was 25 and my SED rate is normal also, but they think I surely have RA because of the symptoms and the factor. I am scheduled for a rheumy doctor appt. in August but I'm trying to call my doc and get a different doctor so I can maybe get in earlier!! From what I've learned here, you should not wait that long before seeing a doctor. At that date, it'll be three months with the RA symptoms. I'm taking a low dose of prednisone just so I can sleep at night. I have carpal tunnel really really bad and it is from the RA. With the prednisone, I can sleep and type. Ahh - I dread any worse symptoms. My knees hurt a little if I don't take the meds. And also my ankles and fingers swell horribly. What are your symptoms at this point? I'm doing a lot of study into hormones and RA and diet. I am reading " The Maker's Diet " by Jordan Rubin and I think it is going to be a big help. I'm married 25 years, mom to three young adult sons and one daughter-in-law and I am a freelance writer. Hugs, Kath
Guest guest
My dear girl, you have my utmost respect for what you have achieved. God saw a purpose in life for you and he will always be there to help you along the way. Being in a group where you can talk about your fears, experiences, failures and share with others is what our list is all about. I don't know of any list that has kept so many members contributing and being helped for so many years as our RA support team. For this, I am eternally grateful a and . Guest guest
> Dana: > > Just want to be sure that I understood you correctly. You dosed ALA at 10 mg every 8 hours? For my 2yo yes. For my older kids, I started with 25 mg. Not all kids will tolerate the 8hr protocol, but fortunately mine did. I had 4 kids to chelate, and it was just simply logistically impossible to do it any other way. Good luck. Dana
