So, you can see I get a bit antsy about bed rest. Wow! You were in the hospital for a year and a half?! No wonder you're not a fan of " bed rest. " I hope the muscle relaxors help a little. I won't feed you the line of BS that I hear from well meaning non chronic pain people all the time - " I hope your back gets better soon. " I ususlly just say thanks but have been known to say, " Thank you for the concern, but it's not going to. It's something I have to live with the rest of my life. Have a nice day. I bought the medications yesterday, but just started the Medrol today.I think it will take a few days before I feel some real relief from that stuff. It'll be the second time I am on it in less than three weeks, both times for the neck. This time, I'm keeping a neck brace on as instructed by my physical doctor, every time I try to move my head to the left or right, I get zapped by an electric shock, I know, that's not a good sign. As you may be able to tell, I hate setbacks, ha, ha, ha. Back to the drawing board, as they say. And, I thought I was doing so well, I've just have to learn how to slow down, I guess. I'm in my pajama's all day, and have not ventured outside the house either, this time I'm following the instructions of my doctor's, meaning no walking at all, just total " bed " rest. Well, that part is difficult, since I'm typing on the computer right now and watching my team in the playoffs. Take care, and I guess these emails will keep piling up, ha, ha, ha. I'm already tired, I guess the one valium will be my savior for the coming days, huh? All I did was take another long nap and I woke up to 78 emails in my box,ha,ha,ha. Thanks again Georgia, more to come tomorrow, I hope, ha, ha, ha. /New York
