Guest guest
Trigger points are locations on your body where the tissue has become very sensitive and painful, like knots in the muscles. I had injections done on the trigger points on my neck and shoulders back in the 1990's. I never got any relief from them and they actually made my pain worse in the short term. I was also flabbergasted at the $1000 fee the doctor (an anesthologist) charged for about 15 minutes of work. I was still working back then and had good insurance that paid for the injections but it still offended my sensibilities to be charged that much for something that didn't work. I told the office manager that they should be embarassed for charging that much. At any rate, I didn't go back for the subsequent injections that they wanted to do. So here you have my experience but remember that some people must have gotten better results than me. Guest guest
I don't understand what you mean by getting them 2 weeks ago. Everyone has so many trigger points, 2 on each side of the upper back, I think one on each side right under your clavical area in the front, some at the base of your spine, hips area, one of each side of the inside of your knees and I forget where the others are but I think there are 18 total trigger points, that is one way the doctors determine fibro. Do you mean that you are getting stimulation of the trigger points, I know that this can be very painful but in alot of people it helps really well. So good luck darling. grannywoman8- " mommy_heidi " <drschmidt413@ wrote: > > Hey there is anyone familiar whith trigger points? Guest guest
> > was suppose to have gotten a theracane, something to help trigger > points in my back. , 39 ************* Hey, , My husband loves the Thera cane. His came with a booklet. I tried it and if you find the trigger points it will release a lot of pain. it is an odd looking item. I don't know why they have the word cane in its name. Its not a cane. But a massage device. Check out the thera cane web site: http://www.theracane.com/ Gail
