That is a good point, I apologize for not clarifying. He needs a technical

review of his 28-day sample menu. It is a way of covering himself since he is

not an RD. He said if I felt strongly about something, that I could also write a

blurb for the section. He was offering to pay me for my time.

this author wanted a " technical " review to verify that his info was accurate,

as opposed to just a " review for opinion of the book. "

I think that one should be paid for a technical review, not for the other.

Hi Jillian,

I am self-publishing my first book and from what I've learned networking

with authors and publishers, most people can send out their books for

review without paying. In fact, it's highly frowned on.

Now, with that said, if he is OFFERING, why turn it down? Charge your

usual rate and enjoy the book!
