It is a way of covering himself since he is not an RD. He said if I felt strongly about something, that I could also write a blurb for the section. He was offering to pay me for my time. I gathered that this author wanted a " technical " review to verify that his info was accurate, as opposed to just a " review for opinion of the book. " I think that one should be paid for a technical review, not for the other. Jan Patenaude In a message dated 1/9/2008 4:59:25 P.M. In fact, it's highly frowned on. Now, with that said, if he is OFFERING, why turn it down? Charge your usual rate and enjoy the book!
